I spend my days trying to convince the ovary to cooperate with science. My research revolves around ovarian biology, tissue engineering, and fertility preservation, with a particular obsession for figuring out how to bioengineer functional ovaries.
From cryopreserving ovarian tissue to figuring out how the follicles interact with the extracellular matrix, my work focuses on developing innovative ways to restore fertility, especially for cancer patients. If it involves rebuilding, freezing, or waking up sleepy follicles, I’m interested.
What should people talk to me about?
- How to build an ovary from scratch (or at least a decent prototype)
- Fertility preservation
- The extracellular matrix (aka the ovary’s unsung hero)
- Cryopreservation (freezing today for a fertile tomorrow)
- Any wild ideas that could push the boundaries of reproductive medicine
If you want to chat about ovaries, engineering, or the next big thing in fertility science, I’m all ears (and follicles). Let’s make some breakthroughs together!
